Ingredients

  • 2 cups peanuts raw, preferably with skin on
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt

Instructions

  • Make the spice blend. Combine the melted butter with the cayenne, sugar and salt, mix well.
  • Toss the peanuts with spice blend. Place the peanuts in a bowl and pour the butter mixture over them. Toss well to combine.
  • Air fry peanuts. Place the peanuts in the basket of your air fryer.  Air fry at 300° for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and loosen them up if needed. Air fry for an additional 8 minutes at 350°F and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Feel free to play around with different spice blends. Some suggestions are cajun seasoning, honey and chili, etc.
  2. Make sure to keep an eye on them to not burn them. The great thing about the air fryer is that you can pull out the basket often to keep an eye on your food. Just like ovens, each air fryer can be different.
  3. Roasted peanuts will last about 5 days, stored in an air tight container at room temperature.
