Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 pork chops boneless
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Brown the pork: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes until the pork turns golden brown. Flip and season with more salt and pepper, and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes or until the pork is fully cooked through. Transfer the pork to a plate.
  • Form the sauce: Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and when the butter has melted, stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook the garlic for 30 seconds or until aromatic then stir in the honey and soy sauce. Cook for about 1 minute or until the sauce thickens a bit. Remove from heat.
  • Finish the dish: Add the pork chops back to the skillet, then flip each piece to fully coat them in the sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  1. Store in an airtight container or ziploc bag. Make sure the pork chops have cooled down before storing them. They will last 3-4 days in the fridge or 2-3 months in the freezer. To reheat, you can either heat on the stovetop in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven at 375F. Keep in mind that reheating cooked pork will cause it to dry out and it is best served fresh.
