Ingredients

Dry Rub

Baked Chicken

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds chicken breast boneless and skinless (about 4)

Instructions

  • Heat your oven to 425℉ (218℃).
  • In a small bowl whisk all the dry rub ingredients together; set aside.
  • Toss chicken breasts with olive oil and the dry rub.
  • Place on a light greased baking dish and transfer to the oven. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes. The breast is cooked when it's completely opaque all the way through and registers 165 to 170℉ (75℃) on an instant-read thermometer.
  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Chicken Selection: Opt for boneless, skinless chicken breasts of even thickness for uniform cooking.
  2. Seasoning: Feel free to experiment with your favorite herbs and spices to alter the flavor profile to your liking.
  3. Resting Time: Allowing the chicken to rest for a few minutes after baking ensures juicier results as it allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
  4. Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
  5. Reheating: For best results, reheat in the oven or toaster oven to maintain the texture, or use a microwave if you are short on time.
