Chocolate Lasagna

This dreamy 20-minute no-bake Chocolate Lasagna is so rich and creamy! It's a chocolate lover's delight with a chocolate Oreo crust, layered with sweetened cream cheese, yummy chocolate pudding, and whipped cream! It's then topped with mini chocolate chips and even more Oreos to make an unbelievably delicious easy dessert!

Ingredients

Crust

  • 36 oreo cookies 1 package
  • 6 tablespoons butter salted, melted

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar also known as icing sugar or confectioner's sugar
  • 8 ounces cool whip or whipped cream

Chocolate Pudding

  • 7.8 ounces instant chocolate pudding or 2 3.9 ounces, unprepared
  • 2 cups milk

Top Whipped Cream Layer

  • 8 ounces cool whip or whipped cream
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Make the oreo cookie crust: Pulse the Oreo cookies, including the cream centers, in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. Then add the melted butter and continue pulsing until fully combined. Now, evenly pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and press it down to form a crust. You can also use the bottom of a glass or spatula to make this step easier.
  • Make the cream cheese layer: Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and one cup of the cool whip together in a large bowl until light and fluffy in a stand mixer or using a hand mixer. Then spread the smooth cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.
  • Make the chocolate pudding: Mix the chocolate pudding powder with the cold milk using a stand mixer or hand mixer until it's firm. Now, evenly spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  • Top the lasagna: Spread the cool whip topping over the pudding layer and then sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and Oreo bits to garnish.
  • Chill the dessert lasagna: Put the finished dessert in the fridge to set for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  1. Use Oreo cookies. For the yummiest chocolate lasagna, use Oreo brand cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies! They are top-notch and the best.
  2. Sift the powdered sugar. This helps to ensure that your cream cheese layer is velvety smooth. No one wants to bite into a lump of powdered sugar. In fact, you should always sift powdered sugar for all recipes.
  3. Chill the lasagna. If you skip this step the lasagna will not slice as uniformly and the layers may just be a sloppy mess. The good news is that it will still taste amazing, but it just won't be as pretty.
  4. Add nuts or spices. Feel free to add a touch of cinnamon to your pudding mix or a dash of vanilla to the cream cheese layer. You can also sprinkle any type of toasted nuts in between the layers or on top for an added yummy crunch.
