  • Cook the drumsticks in the air fryer for about 10 minutes, then flip them over, apply another light spray of cooking oil, and cook for another 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) on a meat thermometer.

Notes

  1. Chicken Variation: This homemade Shake 'n Bake mix works well with other cuts of chicken too, like thighs or wings. Adjust cooking time accordingly.
  2. Storage: Store any leftover Shake 'n Bake mix in an airtight container for up to a month.
  3. Cooking Spray: Don't skip the light spray of cooking oil on the drumsticks; it aids in achieving a crispy, golden exterior.
  4. Avoid Overcrowding: Ensure chicken pieces aren't touching in the air fryer. This ensures even cooking and crispiness all around.
  5. Temperature Check: Always use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
