  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 cups walnut halves

  • Preheat oven: To 300 F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  • In a small bowl: Whisk together the brown sugar, sea salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a large bowl: Whisk the egg white and add the walnuts and toss making sure the egg whites coat the walnuts. Next, add the sugar mixture and stir ensuring all of the walnuts are evenly coated.
  • Bake: Spread the walnuts in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the walnuts from oven and stir them just briefly. Finally, place the walnuts back into the oven and bake for another 20 minutes.
  • Finish: When the second bake time completes remove the walnuts from oven and transfer to a cooling rack for 15 minutes. Serve immediately!

  1. When stored properly in an airtight container (glass is ideal as they can become sticky!) candied walnuts will last up to 2 weeks at room temperature. If you want to extend the life, candied walnuts will last in the refrigerator, properly stored for up to 4 weeks.
  2. Freezing candied walnuts will definitely extend the shelf life! Stored properly in an airtight sealed container, these nuts will last up to 2 months in the freezer!
