Delicious Air Fryer Roasted Peanuts that are perfect for the big game day or just for snacking on whenever the mood strikes. They’re effortless to make and the end result is phenomenal. This recipe is also quite versatile, use my spice blend or use your favorite!
Air Fryer Roasted Peanuts
I love my air fryer recipes, but did you know you can roast peanuts in the air fryer too? Well now you do!
Who doesn’t love roasted peanuts, especially when they’re spiced just perfectly. This is my favorite recipe because the peanuts are a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy, a perfect combination in opinion. The best part is they’re made in the air fryer in just a few minutes!
Once you try roasting peanuts in the air fryer, you’ll never go back to roasting them any other way! It’s incredibly easy to make, and there’s no need to constantly stir. Did I mention they come out perfectly roasted every single time?
Ingredients You’ll Need
- Peanuts – You’ll want to use raw peanuts. I prefer them with skin on, but this is entirely up to you.
- Butter – You’ll need a bit of butter so that the spices stick to the peanuts.
- Cayenne pepper – This is where the heat factor comes into play, use as much or as little as you like.
- Sugar – A must for that sweet, spicy and salty flavor. Granulated sugar is just fine.
- Salt – You’ll want to use coarse salt.
How To Roast Peanuts In The Air Fryer
- Make the spice blend. Combine the melted butter with the cayenne, sugar and salt, mix well.
- Toss the peanuts with spice blend. Place the peanuts in a bowl and pour the butter mixture over them. Toss well to combine.
- Air fry peanuts. Place the peanuts in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 300° for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and loosen them up if needed. Air fry for an additional 8 minutes at 350°F and serve immediately.
Expert Tips
- Feel free to play around with different spice blends. Some suggestions are cajun seasoning, honey and chili, etc.
- Make sure to keep an eye on them to not burn them. The great thing about the air fryer is that you can pull out the basket often to keep an eye on your food. Just like ovens, each air fryer can be different.
Storage
Roasted peanuts will last about 5 days, stored in an air tight container at room temperature.
