These Coca Cola Chicken Wings are not only baked, but they are finger-licking delicious and addicting! The ultimate wings should be sticky, a little sweet, have a touch of spiciness, and best of all juicy and absolutely delicious. Well, these are all of that and more. If you haven’t tried these yet, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by this perfect appetizer.
Coca Cola Chicken Wings
They are sticky, they are sweet, they are a bit spicy, they are fantastic. And yes, I am talking just about chicken wings. But these aren’t just any chicken wings. They are coca cola chicken wings. Who says coke is just for drinking? Now you can have your coke and eat it too. OK, that’s lame, I admit it. But these wings truly are delicious.
Why do I dare try such weird combinations? Because I love wings, and you know what’s even better about these wings. They are BAKED. I always bake my wings. Honestly, I think they turn out much better because they’re so much juicier, not to mention less calories. So I love to try my chicken wings many different ways, and I won’t stop posting chicken wing recipes, until I’ve had enough. Don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon.
Ingredients You’ll Need For Coca Cola Chicken Wings
- Chicken wings – Pat dry split chicken wings.
- Coca-Cola – Use regular coke, but don’t use diet coke.
- Soy sauce – I use low sodium soy sauce to control the amount of salt.
- Red wine – Use a dry red wine to promote depth of flavors.
- Honey – Helps to make wings sweet sand sticky.
- Salt/Pepper– Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Basil – Fresh basil, chopped.
- Chili – Use chili powder to add some heat to the wings. Use more or less to your taste.
How To Make Coca Cola Chicken Wings
- Prepare and Marinade Chicken: In a bowl whisk all the ingredients together except the chicken wings, and then add the chicken wings. You should have enough marinade so that it covers the chicken, if not, just add more coke. Cover with plastic wrap and marinade for 2 to 6 hours. I marinated mine overnight.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400 F degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, or a silpat.
- Bake the Wings: Place wings onto the prepared baking sheet. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
- Prepare Sauce: Take the remaining marinade and cook it in a small sauce pan over medium heat until it reduces and thickens. It will start to reduce and thicken in about 5 to 10 minutes. Once it has thickened, remove from heat.
- Finish Wings and Garnish: Once wings are done, brush wings with sauce, garnish with chives or green onions if preferred and serve.

How do I prepare the wings?
You can leave your chicken wings whole, or optionally cut them into 3 pieces at the joints and discard wing tips. I like to cut them up but the choice is entirely yours.
What can I serve with Coca Cola wings?
Although I love serving these as an appetizer, you can make this more of a meal by adding any side dish such as coleslaw or a potato salad.
